Just a month ago Google introduced its next Android version aka Android Q at its I/O conference at California. At the time Google confirmed a few smartphones eligible to get the Android Q update. At the time there were just two Xiaomi phones. One was Mi MIX 3 5G. Second one was Xiaomi Mi 9. Now, after a month since the Android Q has been introduced Xiaomi has release a list of 11 of its smartphones that will get Android Q update in the near future. The good news is, the Redmi Note 7 Pro makes it to the list.
Xiaomi has confirmed the roadmap of Android Q beta testing schedule for 11 of its phones via its MIUI forum on Friday. Here’s the list of phones eligible to get Android Q update:

Redmi K20 Pro
Xiaomi Mi 8
Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer
Xiaomi Mi 8 screen fingerprint edition
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S
Xiaomi Mi MIX 3
Redmi Note 7
Redmi Note 7 Pro
Xiaomi Mi 9SE
Alongside the name of the phones Xiaomi also revealed the timeline when the Android Q update will hit the phones. The Xiaomi Mi 9, Redmi K20 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer, Xiaomi Mi 8 screen fingerprint edition, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, and Redmi K20 will get Android Q update a little early. These smartphones will get the update by Q4 of 2019. While the other smartphones including the Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro, and Xiaomi Mi 9SE will get the software update by Q1 of next year, that is 2020.
Like every year Google is expected to release the final version of Android Q at the time of the annual Pixel launch, that is in October. Google has already confirmed the Pixel 4 via an official teaser on Wednesday night. Contrary to the rumours and leaks Google confirmed that the Pixel 4 will come with dual cameras on the back instead of triple. The first phones to get the Android Q update will be the upcoming Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL followed by other Pixels and the eligible devices.
Besides the aforementioned 11 Xiaomi phones other eligible smartphones from other brands that are eligible to get Android Q update are — Asus ZenFone 5z, Essential PH-1, Nokia 8.1, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, LG G8 ThinQ, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OPPO Reno, Realme 3 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ3, Techno Spark 3 Pro, Vivo X27, Vivo NEX S, and Vivo NEX A.
